Mrs. Higgins
My name is Lynette Higgins, and this will be my 18th year of teaching. I began my teaching career in Carrollton-Farmers Branch, where I taught 4th and 5th grades. My husband and I moved to McKinney when our first son was born in 2002, and for the past 12 years, I have taught 5th grade here at Wolford. Both of my sons received an outstanding education at Wolford. My older son is now at Evans, and my younger son is still here at Wolford.
As a family, we enjoy renting movies to watch together, tent camping when the weather is nice, reading, playing basketball, riding bikes, and playing outside. Both of my children are involved in scouting, which means that I am, too. My hope is that one day my sons will be ready to hike the Appalachian Trail or the Pacific Crest Trail with their dear old mom!
